Today was a normal day at work, thank goodness. I couldn't have dealt with another night like the previous night.(way too much excitement for work!) Now I get a couple days off from the restaurant because its closed til friday.

CRAZIEST situation at work!!! 12/29

So today I thought it would just be a normal busy day at work. I got photos of some co-workers, got a lot of photos of customer-normal type of day. Two groups of people were celebrating birthdays. Same old same old for work. I was even asked by someone what I write in my blogs. I responded that when its a normal day at work, I tend not to write much and that my blog is more of a photo blog. And THEN something really out of the ordinary happened. A lady who seemed really out of it went straight to the wine selection (seen in the background of the first picture). I asked her what she was doing and she said she was waiting for her boyfriend to come so they could get take away. I told her the kitchen was closed. She said alright and slowly walked away. However I noticed that she was looking at the tip jar. She went straight for all the money and tried to run away. My very QUICK reaction was to grab her. I was trying to pull her and get the money back from her. Mind you, she was at least 30kg heavier than me-----plus no one came to help me!!! It was a bit hard for me to keep my ground, but then came the stair case and she couldn't get away as fast, so she finally gave me the money. I asked her why she did it and then she went off yelling and gave me some crazy eyes. I really thought she was going to punch me. I was really regretting not wearing my shell ring(for protection). However, everything ended up being alright. She left and I got the tips back. Then I went to the customer who asked me what I write in my blog and I told him that this situation was definitely gonna be mentioned. The adrenaline was pumping in me for at least a good ten minutes. Craziest encounter I have ever had with a person(and I really hope its my last....don't mess with me, haha)!!!
