Sydney to Auckland LAN airlines

When I was living in Chile in 2014-2015, I used LAN airlines a lot for my travels.  I thought that after leaving Chile and South America, I wouldn't use them again.  While looking for airline tickets for Auckland, New Zealand from Sydney, Australia, the cheapest ticket I found was with LAN.  It was so strange at the airport looking for my gate and seeing that the final destination for my flight was Santiago, Chile.  I never thought I would see that as a final destination so soon after leaving Chile.  It was also so strange hearing the Chilean being spoken on the plane.  The reason I say Chilean is because they have a lot of slang outside of just the normal Spanish that is spoken in the country.   I asked the flight attendants if I could get their photos wearing my glasses and they were nice enough to say yes.  Muchas gracias!!!

house warming party

Free Cone day at Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream

 There seems to always be free stuff being handed out in Manly.  This time it was free ice cream from Ben and Jerry's.  My friend and I got 3 cones.  We were stuffed at the end and definitely had a sugar high. I tried the coconut seven layer bar, the salted caramel blondie, and the strawberry cheesecake.  The best by far was the salted caramel blondie.  It was amazing!!!!!

Steyne on a Sunday

On Sunday night my friends and I decided to go for some quick drinks at Steyne.  My new favorite drink is the one that my friends and I were able to try for free on my birthday.  Jack Daniels fire (a cinnamon whisky) dry.  It's so good.  It was a nice relaxed night of watching some reggae bands.

getting my hair done

Since my mother is a hairdresser I usually have her do my hair.  This was the second time ever that I have been to a hair salon.  The first time was in the Philippines.  I got it done there because I hadn't seen my mom in a while and it was only $4 for a cut, wash and dry.  I went to the salon this time around because I saw a post about a student needing to practice her skills.  I have never had foils done before so I decided to give it a go.  The hair dresser did an awesome job and I didn't even need to pay that much.  Thanks for a great job!!!

birthday celebration

The weather in Manly wasn't the best all week long, but then on my birthday the weather got much better.  And the day I wanted to have my bbq, the weather was PERFECT!  The same thing happened last time I had my birthday in Australia 3 years ago.  I didn't take many pictures on the beach, but it really was such a nice day.  Thanks to those who helped me celebrate my birthday.
