My Birthday

Its crazy to think that just two years ago Leos and I were in Bahrain for my birthday.  It seems like a lifetime ago.  Last year I didn't do much for my birthday because I was pregnant and about to give birth.  This year Leos took me to a "Korean" restaurant.  It was my fault because I found the place, but once we got there I realized it was a place run by Chinese people and didn't have the proper Korean flavors.  That was a bit of a disappointment, but the space was great for Amaya, the waitress was really nice to Amaya and the portions were HUGE.  We won't go there again, but it was nice to be in a restaurant for dinner.  We had a very EARLY dinner, but it was nice.

Vltava Day

I wasn't sure if we were gonna attend Vltava Day this year, but at the last minute we decided to go.  Reservations for the boats were already filled up, so we had to wait in a really long line to get on a boat.  I knew that a stroller would be out of the question to get on the boat, so Leos had to carry Amaya with the carrier.  That was ok for a little bit, but after a while she wanted to get out of the carrier.  She enjoyed the boat ride and I'm glad we went.  We actually went on the same boat as we did last year when I was pregnant with Amaya.  So much has changed in one year!!  I can't believe that she will be one next month.  Time is flying!  Next year she'll be able to walk on the boat!  And we will most definitely be making reservations!

Global Flavors with Dario: Philippine Classics (Edition 2)

We had another fantastic cooking class with Dario.  He taught us so much with not so internationally known Filipino dishes.  We had three courses.  The appetizer was tofu sisig, the main was pansit palabok and the dessert was ginataang bilo bilo. Everything was delicious and it was so great to make and try some new dishes. Everyone left happy and full.  Thank you Dario for a great class, Jerry for hosting and everyone who came!  See you at the next class!
