Last Minute Kunsthalle Visit

There were some new exhibitions in Kunsthalle and the water was turned off without warning in the apartment, so I decided last minute to go for a visit.  I messaged a friend and luckily she saw my message in time and was able to meet me after lunch. It was nice being able to stand on an airplane wing, but one of the workers was very unpleasant.  I left my stroller for a minute to take a picture for my friend and I got yelled at for leaving it unattended.  NO ONE was around and I was just taking a picture.  Obviously she was bored and had nothing better to do. Anyways, the exhibition upstairs was nice because they were measuring everyone's height.  We decided to measure our babies' heights as well.  They did a good job and were cooperative. The top floor was an exhibition for a video game that took place in Los Angeles where people were able to play the game is they wanted.  They were consoles and I can imagine that on the weekend it would get a bit hectic.  Afterwards we had a nice autumn walk in the nearby area.  It was a nice spontaneous afternoon!

I was if the pieces are welded together or not

every piece of the log had an important event and one piece would be put up daily

Mala Okinawa: November Class

It was time to join another Mala Okinawa class!  The theme today was farm animals.  Since Aska, the instructor, has a discount now for her classes because of the second anniversary of Mala Okinawa I decided that I was going to bake something and bring it as a thank you.  My in-laws brought a LOT of apples this past weekend, so I decided I would make apple crumble.  Aska really loved the crumble and said it was the best she's ever had.  That was very nice to hear. Plus another mother broke her no carb diet in order to have the dessert.  I'm so happy that everyone enjoyed it and the best part of the class was that Amaya was able to last the entire class! The two previous times she would fall asleep before the colorful parachute.  This time she was able to enjoy the parachute and the bubbles at the end.  When we were getting ready to leave, I put her in her stroller and she immediately passed out.  It was a nice class!

Trick-or-Treat for Charity

A friend of mine helped organize the biggest Trick-or-Treat event in Prague that is a fundraiser for children in need. She needed a lot of volunteer to help pass out candy to kids. Whenever a kid would get a piece of candy, they would need to donate at least 10czk for the piece. It was a bit tricky holding the box of candy and the donation container.  The rain didn't deter the kids and luckily the rain stopped after an hour.  There were so many kids and I really understood why there needed to be as many volunteers as possible.  There were so many great costumes.  I didn't even have time to put my costume on, I just started to pass out candy immediately. Luckily I had a giant orange rain jacket so I just figure I looked like a pumpkin! 😂 I was pleasantly surprised how much candy was sponsored for the event. I didn't have time to take a selfie with the other volunteers or ask anyone to put my glasses on. Kids just kept coming and wanting candy the entire time I was there.  It was a great event and I will definitely help out again next year and try to get my friends to help out as well.

Kurdish Kitchen Experience

The last time I was in charge of organizing a cooking class was in February.  I had to take a break for several months because I was towards the end of my pregnancy and of course giving birth to Amaya.  Now she is old enough where Leos can take care of her for a few hours during the day.  It was nice to do something that wasn't baby focused. We had the lovely Razbar teach us about Kurdish cooking techniques and flavors.  It was such a great class.  Everything was delicious and the wonderful aromas filled up the air.  Just in the next class I will need to tell participants to be extra careful of their cups and not to drink out of others because its the easiest way to spread germs. Looking forward to the next cooking class.  Thanks to everyone who participated!
