Third Annual Cheese Rolling Event

The day began with me going to a lunch that someone hosted.  The spaghetti was a combination of Indian spices and Italian spices.  It was quite good.  Then I made my way to the third annual cheese rolling competition.  The day was full of events. First there was a hoola hoop  exhibition.  Then a chilli eating contest.  I actually participated in it just to get the free hot sauce for participating.  I did better than I expected.  I thought that I might get out in the first round, but I managed to pass the first round and went on to the second.  The winner of the competition was a Czech woman.  She was a champ.  She didn't hesitate at all during the competition.  Then was the main event.....the cheese rolling.  I also decided to participate, but I was no where close to winning, haha!  The guy who won was from the states and won wearing sandals.  It was a great day full of fun stuff.  Thanks everyone!

Future Gallery in Prague

I went to Future Gallery because I was shown a very strange art piece that was on display and wanted to check it out for myself.  It was truly bizarre.  There is a ladder up to the butt, and you are supposed to but your head in the hole so you can view a video that is on display.  However, because of all the rain the tv screens weren't working.  The video was of two politicians feeding each other soup.  I wish I couldve seen the video.  But, even without the video it was definitely an interesting thing to see.

Tuesday Toast Pod Hajem (my cousin's pub)

During the day I met up with some couchsurfers and we walked around the city.  Then later in the evening I hosted the Tuesday Toast at my cousin's pub, Pod Hajem.  Prices were great and everyone had a good time.  It was a very good day.  Thanks to everyone for a wonderful day!

Reunion with Kathy!!!

I was able to FINALLY catch up with a friend of mine that I haven't seen in 9.5 years.We met in South Africa while we were studying abroad at UKZN in Durban.  We have tried a couple times to meet up and thought we would be able to meet up in the states or in Asia, but it just didnt seem to work out.  FINALLY FINALLY we were able to meet up in Prague!!!!  She was on a trip with her mother, so I was able to meet her mom as well and I showed them around a bit.  We were lucky that the weather was nice.  We walked all over the place and caught up.  The time was so short, but at least we were able to spend the whole day together!  It was sooooo great to see you again!!!!!!  Let's catch up again somewhere again in the world!!! Weekly Thursday Couchsurfing Meeting (new nationalities)

It's been a month since I have been to the couchsurfing event on Thursdays so I decided that I should try to go.  Unfortunately, I had to leave early because I had to head back to the village.  It was fun meeting the new faces and I was able to get new nationalities, so that was great!! The couchsurfing application has a new function where you can see which travelers and locals are able to hang out at that very moment.  I decided to try it out and i was able to meet some cool people because of it.  We went to the beer garden near the metronome.  Then we rented a paddle boat and chilled on the river.  It was such a great day!

Tuesday Toast......New Nationalty Tunisia

I went to Prague for the day to hang out with my friend and at the end of the day decided to go to the Tuesday toast.  Every tuesday the event is at a new pub. This week it was a bit harder to find the place, but the few that came were nice to talk to.  It was a nice and chilled night.  Plus I was able to get a new nationality.  Tunisia.  Thanks to those who particpated.
