CS Meeting (Marrakech, Morocco)

Every time I go to a new city, I always check if there is a couchsurfing meeting.  In Marrakech there is a weekly meeting every Friday.  When I arrived I was surprised to the amount of locals that were there.  From all the CS meetings I have been to around the world, Marrakech definitely had the most locals, which was great because I could get advice from several different people.  It was a nice and chill atmosphere. It was a bit strange though with the women at the meeting because from the women that were there only ONE agreed to be part of my blog. After the meeting I went to the night market and tried a really strong herbal health drink.  It was hot and quite hard to drink.  When I put it to my lips my eyes started to water.  Once I was able to drink it, it was quite nice.  It was a nice way to end a FULL day in Marrakech which actually felt like a week!!

1st Day in Marrakech, Morocco

I decided to get a last minute ticket to Marrakech, Morocco because I was a bit tired of the cold weather in the Czech Republic.  I was able to get a decent price on a direct flight from Prague to Marrekech (4 hours).  On the first day I went to a nice view point of the city.  On my first full day in Morocco, I walked ALL over the city with my new friends.  We walked 23.5 km!!!  First we walked to the market area, then the Bahia Palace, the Menara, the National theater, the CS meeting and then the night market.  It was a really great way to see the city and in the end actually the ONLY day I walked around Marrakech!

Galentine's Day Prague, CZ

Last year I went to my first Galentine's Day event in Praha and it was a lot of fun. The person who organized it last year left, so I decided to organize it this year.  We had it at the CzechInn hostel and they were very welcoming even though they didn't know what Galentine's Day is.  Most of us brought desserts to share and we had so many gifts for the gift exchange. We played some games that I brought and it was very competitive, just like last year.  It was so funny to see the competition!  Everyone went home with a gift, stomach full of sweets, smiles and new friends.  It was definitely a success!  To many more Galentine's Days in the future!!

Homeless Outreach (Prague, CZ)

Every Saturday at 4pm near the train station in Prague there is a homeless outreach event a woman from Romania has been organizing for a year now.  I still had some stuff that belong to my grandma that I wanted to give to someone in need instead of throwing away, so I joined the event.  It was nice to see that other people found what I brought was useful for them.   I met a lot of nice people and it was good for me to attend.  I still have a few other things that I will bring again to give those in need.
