Day 9 Beaches

It was our second day with the car and we went to two different beaches.  They were both a challenge to get to.  Luckily, we had enough water with us because we weren't able to buy water at either beach.  The first hike in the morning was a surprise and there were lots of people going down to the beach, but also coming back up.  The views were stunning at both beaches, but the second beach was definitely more secluded. The first beach, we saw many families and there was also a water taxi for people to get back to the main area if they needed.  We couldn't use the water taxi because our car was parked up in the town.  The second beach was truly only for people who could hike.  There were some sections where a rope was needed and also a dodgy ladder was needed in order to go to the beach.  We thought there would be short cuts, but there weren't.  The only older people that were on the beach had hired a private boat.  The beach was really only for physically able people.  We had a lot of exercise, but it was well worth it.  Both beaches were very nice and it was good we had the rental car.  When we got back to Corfu Town we went to a very popular restaurant for some grilled meat.  It was a fantastic day!  (pictures are out of order)

Day 8 Sidari

Leoš and I decided to rent a car for 2 days.  On our first day we went to the town of Sidari.  There were some nice beaches and the town was cute.  There were some areas that were a bit difficult to swim around, but I managed.  For lunch we went to a TERRIBLE place because Leoš made a huge mistake with the restaurant.  He looked at reviews and had his mind on one restaurant.  While we were walking to the place, Leoš thought we had arrived at the good restaurant.  When we got to the restaurant the service was bad and the food was terrible.  I thought that either they had a chef change or something else. I decided to look at google maps and that is when we realized we were at the wrong place.  Luckily, we only ordered a starter and 1 main dish.  Always check the map when going to a restaurant!! After the terrible lunch, we went to another beach that was known for good snorkeling.  We arrived a bit later in the day, but still managed to enjoy swimming around.  When we got back to Corfu Town, we decided to treat ourselves right with a NICE dinner.  Dinner was sooooo good and the service was great.  We left the restaurant very happy.  Overall it was a nice day besides the lunch.  (pictures are out of order)
