I met up with my friend and his family at Koganei Park for a nice picnic.  We also went to the Edo Open Air Museum.  Everyone who worked there was super nice.  When we came back to the picnic area, a crow had eaten all the gift snacks I gave my friend.  Oh well.  Best of luck to your move in Vietnam.  Next time I see you guys, it'll be in Vietnam!!!

Saturday during Golden Week, I had to attend my THIRD work orientation for the semester.  Luckily, I was able to attend just half the day.  After the orientation I went out for a couple of drinks with some of new co-workers.

Golden Week (Japan)

I had to work in the beginning of the week and had a work orientation on Saturday, so the days in between I had to make the most of it.  I first went to Yokohama and went to the Cup of Noodle Museum.  It was a lot of fun.  My friend and I made our own cup of noodles and enjoyed eating some food at the noodle bazaar in the museum.  Then the next day I went to Enoshima.  I had a wonderful time and the weather was fantastic!  I will def be going to both places again very soon!

10 yen sushi place and gotokuji temple (japan)

Last year when I was in Japan, I discovered an amazing sushi place that has pieces of sushi for JUST 10 YEN!!!!!!  That's right, you read it correctly!!!  However, it is only one kind of sushi that is for 10 yen/piece.  They have some other cheap pieces of sushi as well, but for salmon its 160 yen a piece (16 pieces of the cheap sushi!!!)  There is just one guy working at the place and its VERY SMALL.  The biggest group would have to be 4 people (if you go early, like I did). You need to purchase a drink and then you can order as much as you like.  Some people order 20 or 30 pieces at a time!!!!!!  The cheap sushi is quite good.  If you want to read more about the place, here is a link if you click here Since its a small place, you need to respect the area and realize that others are there as well.....tight corners.  The next day I rode my bike to Gotokuji Temple.  The temple is known for having TONS of manekinekos!!! It was awesome seeing all of them and taking tons of photos.  Of course I had to buy one for myself!

Hakone Open-Air Museum (Japan)

This past Saturday I went to the open air museum in Hakone with my parents and some family friends.  I have been to Hakone before, but it was my first time going to the open air museum.  It was nice to walk around and see all the different things on display.  The foot bath was quite nice to relax in for a bit because it was a cold day.  The next day my parents and I went to Tokyo Dome and had a great time.  It was a nice and relaxing weekend.
