Spanish Coversation Meeting (Prague,CZ)

It had been a couple weeks since I was at the last meeting and since I was already in Prague for the day, I decided I should practice a little bit of Spanish. There were a couple familiar faces, but a few new faces as well. It was a good mix of people and I had a good time, but as usual I had to catch my last bus back to the village. TEAtalks: Cafe Psychologique: Time

I had the monthly schedule for the cafe, A Maze in Tchiaovna, and came across an event that peeked my interest. I studied a little bit of psychology in university, so I was interested how the topic would be presented. The topic was about time and ironically the event started a bit late. It was interesting to hear different people's perspective about time and the talk was organized quite well. I think one thing that might have made the event even better than what it was is if the audience had more of a chance to break off into groups and discuss what was being discussed. However, I was really pleased with the event and I look forward to going to more in the future.

Forest Walk and Games

I invited some people to come to my place to play some games and go for a walk in the forest. We played Spot It at my place and it was so funny to see how intense some of the people got while playing. Then we went for a walk in the forest. Most of the snow was gone from the trees, but there was still snow on the ground. To my surprise, a snowman that I had made with some other friends a couple weeks ago was still in the same spot. No one had destroyed it and it didnt melt. It was a huge shock. If it was in the United States, I am sure that it wouldve been destroyed, haha. Then we walked to a cafe in Ricany and played some more games. It was a great afternoon. Thanks to those who came!

CS Saturday NIght Social (Prague)

At the Galentine's Event I met the organizer of the CS Saturday Night Social and she told me that I should check out her event. The event was at California Republic Bar, so of course I had to check it out. I went to the event after the potluck and had a good time. It was nice to see a familiar face and meet a lot of new people. I will definitely try to go to this event again.

Potluck in Prague

I've been wanting to go to a potluck for a while now and I was able to find one in Prague. A few more people were supposed to attend, but they didn't show up. I was quite disappointed with one person because they mentioned that they were going to bring poutine and maple whiskey. Two things I have never had and really wanted to try. Oh, well. I am sure they will be more potlucks in the future. Thanks for hosting!

Galentine's Day in Prague

I was looking for events that were happening in Prague, and I happen to come across a Galentine's Day event. (A Parks and Recreation reference apparently, US TV show). I had no idea what it was, but the description looked pretty interesting: breakfast/dessert potluck with drinks, games, and a "gift" exchange. The event started at 6:30pm, so I decided to go into the city a little bit earlier and walk around. It was a nice but chilly day to walk around. At the event I met a good group of girls and we all had fun playing the games I brought. I think the game "Spot It" was the biggest hit. At one time we had two tables going with a game on each table and everyone looked so intense, it was hilarious. It was a great night and I hope to go to more events in the future. Maybe a potluck, or a games night?
