The first time I went to the Americka street event was in 2018. I thought this year would be the first year besides covid that I wouldn't be able to attend because Leos and I already had plans to attend his friend's wedding. However, there were massive floods, so the Americka event was postponed. First it was postponed to the day of the Cooking Club potluck, but to my luck it was postponed to the 5th of October. I was able to attend. There were lots of stands, but since the weather wasn't the best because it was raining in the morning and it was cold, the atmosphere wasn't the best early afternoon. My friend and I walked around and tried to find something we could eat. We found food from Afghanistan that looked interesting and it was quite good. Later, we found a stand with tamales, but at this point I was too full. However, I saw that they had candy apples. I decided to buy one and I ate it at home. It was so good!!!! I wish I bought more! It was such a nice surprise.
the best thing I bought at the festival
such a delicious chamoy apple
