couchsurfing meeting
I decided to go to a couchsurfing meeting because I havent been to one in a while. While I was taking photos of people, someone informed me that a Japanese magazine may have stolen one of my photos for their November issue. I have yet to confirm if they have done so. If this is true, I am very angry because I take these photos for fun and do not make any money from this. If anybody wants to use any of my photos for media, they must get permission from me. Jerk No. 1
So, my friends and I tried to go to Shinjuku park, but we got there too late. So, instead we found this little spot called Jerk No.1 We hung out there for a bit and got some free "welcome" food. Couchsurfing Event....walking around ueno
I had no plans for the weekend, which was a first since I got to Japan, so I decided to check out if there were any events for CS and there happen to be one. We all met near Akihabara and walked to Ueno. We were guided by a very friendly local and had a good time exchanging travel stories. Thanks for the day guys. CS meeting! yah another new country!!!
Yesterday was Halloween and it was a bit exhausting with the parties I had for my students, so it was nice to just go out and hang out with some CSers tonight. I already have lots of photos of people from a good number of countries, so when I take a photo of someone from a country I do not have yet, its awesome! My new country tonight was Turkmenistan. I also learned something new which was great....apparently there is a place in Turkmenistan called the door to hell. Check it out..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Door_to_Hell. Ummm wow!!!
