Japanese Festival in Manly, Australia

I had a nice walk from Spit Bridge to Manly with my friends on Saturday morning and when I came back into Manly I saw that there was some dancing going on in the corso. Then I realized that there was a small festival in commemoration for the huge earthquake that hit Japan in 2011. The people who were there were really nice and everyone let me take their photo. The dancing was really great and I had a fun time for the short amount of time I was there. Thank you!!

Beach Bowl (behind the scenes) Manly Beach, Sydney

I was lucky enough to have Lizzie Armanto take some photos for me behind the scenes of the skateboarding competition. I gave her my glasses and my camera and she did her thing. Unfortunately, my camera wasn't working due to the fact that I have dropped it numerous times. However, she was nice enough to take the photos on her iphone and sent me the photos. Its the second time I have had someone take photos for me behind the scenes where I couldn't go. Hopefully in the future I will be able to go behind the scenes myself! Thank you so much for you kindness, I really appreciate it!! You rock!!!

comedy night, sugar lounge

I have dropped my camera more than a few times and the last time was the final time for my camera so I had to get a new one. I was lucky enough to get an amazing camera for really cheap on gumtree. The camera has a bunch of new settings so I was messing around with it and put a photo of my lunch on the magazine cover setting.

Later at night a friend of mine went to check out the stand up comedy at Sugar Lounge. The comedians did a really good job. They were funny and were able to get the crowd laughing. After their set they jolted out of the place immediately. Luckily I was able to get one of the guys who worked at Sugar Lounge to chase them down before they were gone for a good. And I was able to get their photos. Thanks for the laughs and the photos!!!!!

I went into Sydney to meet up with a friend of mine who had just arrived into the city. People were getting ready for mardi gras, so I had to take a few photos. Then I went back to Manly and went out for a just a little bit.

Beach Bowl Manly, Australia

Life is really funny sometimes. Yesterday I was watching the skateboarders practice for the Beach Bowl. I was taking a lot of photos and I was wondering how I was going to be able to take photos of the contestants wearing my glasses. My friend really wanted me to get the one and only female skateboarder to wear my glasses. TONIGHT, that PROFESSIONAL FEMALE skateboarder, Lizzie Armanto walks into the place I am at and asks to use the toilet. After she comes out I ask if she is the skateboarder I saw the previous day and she says she is. OF COURSE I ask for her photo wearing my glasses and I also ask her if she could possibly help me out with asking the other contestants to wear my glasses. As a fellow Californian she says she would. I'll definitely try to make it to the practice on Saturday. Thanks so much Lizzie!!!! Best of luck to you!!!!! KICK THOSE BOYS' ASSES!!! GIRL POWER!!!! hahahahah!!!! (then at night i met up with my friend's cousin and his friend for a quick drink in the office before they headed back to the city)

Australian Open of Surfing Manly, Australia

This pasr weekend the Australian Open of Surfing started. On the opening day the waves were soooooo big and gnarly. However, it was just the boys and girls competing. So far the weather has been pretty great for the competition. It's been fun watching the competition and I hope to get more contestants to wear my glasses!!!!
