Snow

The first real snow of the season was a bit earlier than it was last year.  I was in the village, so I decided to take a quick walk in the forest.  It was really nice.  But the biggest surprise was the amount of snow that was in Prague.  Normally the snow only stays in the village and the snow in Prague melts.  Its been a while since I have properly been able to see Prague covered in snow.  It was so beautiful.  We went on our normal walk through Petrin, by the castle and then managed to walk by some Christmas markets.  It was such a nice day.

Potluck dinner

I made some new friends on a project that lasted from July until the end of October.  We wanted to meet up again, so we decided to have a potluck.  In the morning I dropped off some things at my friend's house so I wouldn't need to carry it with me for the rest of the day.  I came across one of the first Christmas markets to open in Praha for the season, so of course I had to check it out.  There was a camera crew and lots of nice stands.  The prices at this Christmas market is probably the best from the city.  Then I had lessons with my students and helped one of them with her Jarmark products to sell at her school.  We made matcha and pumpkin spice chocolate.  They turned out pretty good. Then it was time for the potluck.  My friend set up dinner table in such a nice way I had to post it. There was a lot of delicious food.  Everyone brought something different and unique. It was such a fun night that we decided that we would do it again in 2 weeks and have it Christmas theme.  Thanks for much for hosting Katie!
