First Lady Eva Pavlova

I came across an advert for the International Charity Market stating that there would be  stands from 40 different countries being held at the Hilton Hotel. It mentioned that there would be food and gifts for sale. Another thing that was mentioned was that the First Lady of the Czech Republic would be there.  When I saw that information, I knew I HAD to go.  I missed getting her husband (President Petr Pavel) to wear my glasses on two separate occasions, so I was determined to get her photo.  When we arrived, we paid the 150czk per person and then had to go through a metal detector.  The first thing I saw was the tombola stand.  The info at the stand stated that 1 ticket was 100czk.  If you bought five tickets, you would be guaranteed to win.  I decided to take my chances and just get 1 ticket and sure enough I won! The set up for the market was impressive.  I didn't expect it to be so big.  I also had no idea that it was a yearly event!  We walked through the market with the stroller and it was a bit difficult to do so considering how crowded it was.  There were times we had to take turns and wait with the stroller.  The first thing I got to eat were samosas from the Pakistan stand.  They were delicious.  We walked through most of the market, but then Leos decided he would take the stroller to an area that wasn't so crowded.  I walked around and then thought that maybe I should've taken the glasses with me.  I continued checking out the stands and then I saw the crowd.  I immediately went back to the stroller and got the glasses and went back to where I saw the crowd.  Sure enough, the First Lady was there with her entourage and body guards.  She was talking to the people at the Iran stand.  I waited patiently until I saw an opening.  I carefully looked who she was with.  Then I asked a lady who was with her if she could take my picture with the First Lady.  She said yes and took my phone.  I told the First Lady about my blog and asked if she would wear my glasses.  She translated to her media people and asked if she could.  They advised her to just hold the glasses in the photo.  It was better than nothing.  I took a photo with her while she was holding my glasses.  I got my phone back and then she put the glasses on!!! Stupid me asked her people if I could take her photo.  I should've just taken the photo, she put the glasses on for me.  After I asked they said no.  It's ok though, she wore the glasses and I have a photo with her.  She was really nice.  Next I would like to get her husband to wear my glasses.  I think I'll have an easier opening because his wife already wore them.  I hope I will see President Pavel again sometime soon and be able to have him wear my glasses!  Overall the market was a great success.  I got to eat good food, saw some nice performances, bought something nice and most importantly got the photo I wanted!  Thank you First Lady Eva Pavlova!!
