For the past couple of years I have been making it a point to go to the Festival of Embassies. Its a great way to taste food from several different countries. Last year was the first time Amaya got to go and the weather wasn't the best. This year the weather was great. We wanted to go early to beat the rush, but it was already crowded before 10am. There were so many more people that the previous years! I saw several people I know at the festival. The craziest food that Leos and I tried were Mopani worms from Zimbabwe. Leos almost spit them out, but for some reason I was ok with it. Now I know I can do Fear Factor, haha! I thought the festival would be the only thing we did for the day, but my friend Lucie was in the city at another event. I haven't seen her since before Christmas, so I wanted to at least try and see her. We managed to go and it was nice to see her and the different cars on display. On the way home we stopped by Novy Smichov for some shopping and I saw a Dermacol stand doing some promotional stuff. I took a picture at their stand and got a free bottle of nail polish. The free things I got today were: vitamin drink, a kite for Amaya, Mopani worms, food from Qatar and a bottle of nail polish. Such a random group of things!
