I held another Japanese cooking class because the first one I had in November filled up rather quickly and others asked me to do a repeat of the class. Unfortunately, the class happened to be on the hottest day in history in the Czech Republic. I couldn't cancel because I had 12 people relying on me and I had already bought all the ingredients. Luckily, everyone who signed up were troopers and didn't let the heat defeat them. We were all melting, but I showed them a hack on how to cool down a bit. Something my uncle in Japan would do because summers in Japan can get quite hot and humid. Luckily the class didn't require heat sources to be on that long. Most of the time participants were chopping ingredients and rolling the hosomaki. We made so many rolls! The edamame turned out great and so did the cucumber salad and miso soup. The matcha cookies were a bit burnt, but everyone liked them because they said they were crispy and chewy. I am very happy that everyone was happy with the class and that we all survived the heat! Thank you Ariel for taking photos!
