Kamakura and Enoshima

We woke up to great weather. It was sunny and it didn't look like it would rain at all.  It was the perfect day to go to the beach.  We were easily able to see the Sky Tree from our room and knew it would be a good day.  We first made our way to Kamakura to see the Giant Buddha. The size was very impressive and for less than $1 we went inside.  There was a sign saying not to stay inside too long because of the heat. Afterwards we took a small scenic train to Enoshima.  We walked to the island and explored all over.  It's one of my favorite day trip destinations from Tokyo. We saw a lot of temples and climbed up a bunch of steps.  We ended up at a cave and decided to go in because there wasn't a line and I had never been there before.  It was pretty cool going inside the cave.  There were different sections of the cave and I got quite surprised at one section.  We went to where the dragon statue was and there was a sign saying to clap twice once we got in front of the dragon.  I did as the sign said and suddenly there was flashing lights and the sound of thunder.  It was pretty cool. We made our way back off the island and since the weather was nice, we decided to chill on the beach for a bit.  We relaxed in the black sand and enjoyed the rays.  We made our way back to Tokyo and had curry for dinner.  It was such a great beach day.
