Třebíč, CZ

I went to Třebíč for the weekend and got to enjoy some beautiful views of the city.  The main reason for the weekend was to attend a wedding.  I had never been to a wedding in the Czech Republic and suddenly I got to go to two weddings in the same month.  Of course I wanted to see the city and explore.  I had a wonderful time in the city.  I am sure I will visit Třebíč again in the future.

Gaucho Reunion! (Prague, CZ)

A month ago I was watching The Gentlemen in a movie theater here is Prague.  While I was watching the movie I thought that one of the supportive characters looked familiar.  I thought that I had seen the person in a previous movie or tv show.  He kept showing up on the screen and it was driving me crazy on how I knew this face.  Finally three-quarters into the movie, I realized where I had seen this face before.   He was a friend from university.  He was on the men's basketball team and was in the car with me when I got pulled over by the police for speeding.  I haven't seen him in 14 years and by chance he came to Prague for a Netflix movie he will be in.  It was a nice reunion.  Now I have seen three friends from UCSB in the past 7 months.   Go GAUCHOS!!!!

Mini Catch-up (Prague, CZ)

A friend I met last year in Innsbruck, Austria last year was visiting Prague for just a day with her boyfriend.  Luckily our schedules matched and I was able to meet up with them.  It was a beautiful day and I showed them a bit of Prague.  They enjoyed the interesting statues I showed them around the city.  It was a nice quick catch up.

Roadtrip (SK and CZ)

I haven't been outside of the Czech Republic since February and its been kind of weird that I haven't considering how much traveling I did last year.  Of course things have been very different this year because of Covid-19.  Luckily, in the Czech Republic citizens respected each other and the law, so things have felt a bit more normal than in other places around the world.  It was very nice to go on a roadtrip out of the country for the weekend.  I got to see some nice places and enjoyed my time.  My next trip outside of CZ will be next month.
