Halloween in Tokyo/ People watching in Shibuya

This was my third Halloween in Tokyo. The last time I celebrated Halloween in Tokyo was 3 years ago. That time and the time before I went to a really big nightclub (Ageha). I had fun both times but I had to stay out until very late those times that I went to the club. Since my mother is here visting right now and I had plans to see her on Sunday, I knew that going to a club this time around was going to be impossible. I decided to just go to Shibuya and people watch until I had to go home. It was awesome!!!! I am actually very happy that I didn`t go to a club. I was able to see a lot more interesting costumes just hanging out in Shibuya. Some of the costumes definitely took a lot of time and effort and were quite impressive. I really liked the dedication some people had with making their costume as unique as they could be.

My mother actually had her trip to Japan planned months before I got offered my job. She was able to get a really cheap ticket from Los Angeles to Haneda airport. Her trip is on a tight schedule, so I have to do my best in order to coordinate with her. I was able to meet up with her and my uncle one night after work for dinner. I hadn`t seen my uncle in 7 years, so it was good to see him again. He looks exactly the same! We went for sushi and there was a touch screen in which you could specially order what you wanted and right before it would come to you, there would be a warning that your food was about to come. The next day, during my lunch break, I met up with my mom, her friend, and her friend`s daughter for lunch. The food was incredible. Unfortunately, since I was on my lunch break, I had to eat really fast and I wasn`t able to enjoy the food. I would like to go to that restaurant again when I have more time, so I can properly enjoy the food.

Shibuya---REUNION

On Sunday, I was able to finally meet up with a friend whom I haven`t seen in 4 years!!!! It was so good to finally be able to catch up with her. The last time I saw her was in London. We have known each other since we were 6 years old!!! When I met up with her in London, I didn`t have the idea for my blog yet. The blog started a couple months later. So, of course I needed to take her photo wearing my glasses. Plus she happend to be the 7,700th person to wear them, so that was cool! (I didn`t realize it until I made this post!) I saw some random people dressed up on the streets in Shibuya (because Halloween is next week) so I decided to get their pictures. Then I went for dinner with some couchsurfers. It was a nice weekend.
