Comedy Battle then CS event (Prague, CZ)

My friend and I came across an event for a comedy battle at a teahouse that I really like, so we decided to check it out. We invited other couchsurfers to join us. The first two comedians were alright but the third guy, from Poland, was awesome!!! He got everyone laughing and it was so impressive because English is his second language. His jokes were funny and smart, he won the battle by a landslide. After the comedy show a friend and I went to an event at a club I went to the previous week. This week it was 80s and 90s music, so much better than the previous week!

Korean Food and Lucy's Birthday (Prague, CZ)

My friend told me of an all you can eat Korean food event going on at a restaurant called Pocha. It had been a while since I had some Korean food, so I decided to go even though it was a bit expensive for what I was getting. It was quite good though. After dinner I went to a friend's birthday party. There were so many Brazilians there, I had no idea that there was a Brazilian community in Prague! I was even able to meet some professional soccer players. Thanks for the invite and I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!

Book Binding Class (Prague, CZ)

My friend told me about an activity she came across: book binding. I had never even thought about what it would be like to bind a book, so I was quite interested in what it entailed. We went to a very nice Brazilian lady's house to learn the art of book binding. First we were given our materials and then were shown the different types of binding. We learned how to do the very basic one: the butterfly binding technique. We needed to decorate our notebooks and were given stamps and stickers to use if we wanted. The final products turned out pretty good and now I can add another thing I know how to do. In the future I might learn other techniques. Thanks for a great class!

Woman's Day Event (Prague, CZ)

A friend of mine whom I recently met told me about a meeting that was happening on Women's Day in Prague. The topic was about human trafficking. It was a pretty heavy topic and it was presented by a 17 year old woman, which was really impressive. We had great discussions and a couple of people shared their personal insights. It was interesting to hear the different experiences women have had in different parts of the world. After the heavy talk we played some games and discussed other things. I was very happy to be introduced to the Girls Gone International group. I plan on joining more activities. It was very nice to meet you all!
