State of Origin (Aussie Rugby)

So when I lived in Australia I wasnt that into rugby, but I did go to a couple of games (1 professional...Manly Seahawks) and it was fun.  While living in Manly, the bars were always filled with rugby fans and during the State of Origin games the rivalry between New South Wales and Queensland was strong.  After the games people from the pubs or from the actual game would fill the corso and come to the restaurant I worked for.  One of my friends here (in Chile) is from Australia and she went to a bar with a couple of friends to watch the first game in the series.  Of course I had to go.  It was nice to feel a little bit of Australia again.  And the pub we went to it actually an Australian/Chilean pub.  It was a lot of fun and NSW won.  GO BLUE!!!!

Pomaire Day

Another Sunday and my housemates and I had no idea what we wanted to do.  One of my housemates was able to get a car from his family, so we decided to take a road trip.  We didnt know where to go, but they had some suggestions.  Then we decided to go to Pomaire because it was a bit far away and we needed to take advantage of having the car, plus they have delicious empanadas.  When we finally got to Pomaire, we were lucky enough to arrive there on the last of their Pomaire Day festival.  It was crowded with people and with so many cool stuff to buy.  We bought lots of food, clay products and jewelry. It was such a great day and to round the day off, we went to watch a 4D movie.  AMAZING!!! The first time I watched a 4D movie was when I was living in South Korea and I got addicted to them.  The effects were awesome......however there was less water, aroma, and punching then the seats in Korea. However, it was still awesome and its so hard to see a "regular" movie in the cinema once you see a 4D movie.  Such a great day.  Thanks to those who participated.

Nice views/Girls Night Out

The pollution in Santiago is bad and you can see it on a daily basis.  However, when it rains, the sky clears up and you can see the mountains quite clearly.  Wednesday was a public holiday and it rained all day. For the next two days the view of the snowy mountains were so clear and beautiful.  Friday night my friends and I decided to go out for ladies night.  We went to a great event in which included a free taxi ride and free entrance to the party.  Had a lot of fun and stayed until they closed!  Soooo late.  Had a great time and thanks to everyone who participated!
