lazy rainy saturday
Since it doesnt rain that much in Santiago, it seems like life is put on hold when it rains. Everything stops working and plans get cancelled. My friend told me that the power went out in her area from 3pm-4am. This is very shocking because it didnt even rain that hard. I was supposed to go to a rooftop party at night but that was cancelled due to the fact that it rained earlier in the day. It wasnt even raining at night. The nice thing is that it didnt rain the whole weekend. Thanks to those who participated!

thanksgiving
I havent been home for Thanksgiving in 12 years!!!! This Thanksgiving, like most of the other ones before, I didnt have turkey. However, my mom made turkey and put some in the freezer, so when Im home next week, Ill be able to have some. I celebrated Thanksgiving at my friends house. There was a LOT of food. It really felt like a real Thanksgiving. My friends and I did a really good job making sure that everyone brought REAL food and at the end of the meal EVERYONE was stuffed, just like we should be. The next day I went to my friend´s birthday potluck. I was worried that I would be stuffed like the day before......not even close. But it was fun and it was great to meet some new people. Thanks to the kind and friendly people who participated in my blog.

people i saw every week
When I first came to Chile, I wasnt quite sure how I felt about the place. Santiago was a big city for me and I had just been in Cuba 36 hours prior. There was a huge culture shock. As time went by I found myself liking Santiago more and more. These are some of the people I saw every week. It was so great to meet all of you. Thanks for participating. This week has been very exciting for me with my blog. A band that I met in 2012, Les Elephants Bizarres, will make a song for me for a video I will be making for youtube. Plus I will be having some professional help with my video. And lastly, next month I will be going to Bucharest, Romania to meet up with the band!!!! Things are coming together quite nicely!!
