another jammed back weekend

I met my friend at metro station Los Dominicos to go to the artesian market.  It was great because I was able to meet a friend of hers who was traveling with some more friends.  Also because it seemed like we were out of Santiago.  The area seemed like a mini village.  It was great!  Then we went to Manuel Montt to go to the Colores de Noche.  After that we went to Bella Vista to have some drinks and then to a karaoke bar.  On Sunday my new friends and I went to Valparaiso.    It was such a beautiful sunny day.  We walked around the beautiful streets and then had lunch at the port.  Then we took a little boat ride around the port.  We finished our time walking by the beach in Vina del Mar.  We drove back to Santiago just in time to watch The Hunger Games in 4D at  Parque Arauco.  The effects were awesome, especially in one scene of the movie!!  It was such a wonderful way to end an awesome weekend. Thanks ladies!!!

Thanksgiving

I haven't been in the United States for Thanksgiving since 2002, but I have always made sure that I am able to have a Thanksgiving feast.  This year the feast was incredible.  Everything was so delicious.  We even had pumpkin pie and chocolate pudding pie.  I left my friend's house completely stuffed.   It was a very successful thanksgiving.  The next day I went to a friend's asado and could barely eat anything because of the night before.

Jammed back weekend

I started the weekend off by going to the top of the Costanera Center.  The view point is the highest in all of South America.  It was a beautiful day and the views were amazing.  I'm really glad I went to see it.
Then on Saturday my friends and I decided to check out the 100en1dia event that was going on in Santiago. They had 100 different events going on in the city. It was wonderful.  Of course we weren't able to check out everything, but we did see a good amount of the things.  Then I went to the Japanese food festival.  The foods were delicious but they sold out of things quite quickly because this year they sold 100 more tickets than last year (with the same amount of food, so obviously you weren't able to go home full like last year).  Then I went to sangria night at my friend's hostel.  Then I went to another friend's house to just hang out .
On Sunday I went to my friend's parents' house.  It was really nice to get out of the city and enjoy the countryside.  Thanks for the delicious food and hospitality!!
