Cookie Exchange (Prague, CZ)

I decided to organize a cookie exchange, which I thought several people would be excited about, but not that many people showed up.  It didn't matter, it was a nice afternoon filled with delicious cookies and tea.  I wanted to have the cookie exchange because I will be going home to California soon and wanted to eat some Christmas cookies before leaving.  When I return to the Czech Republic, I will try to organize it again and have better instructions.

Rita's Fun Night Out (Prague, CZ)

A couple months ago I gave my friend an idea to do pub crawls with travelers.  She has been doing a great job and has over a hundred rave reviews.  I asked her if I could join last Saturday.  I had a great time and met some really cool people.  It was a fun night out and I even got to see some bars I had never been to before. At the end of the night I met a couple who used to live in my hometown in California and now live in a neighboring city.  Such a small world!!!! Great job Rita and I recommend anyone who is traveling in Praha to check out her experience.

Let's Talk the Expat Woman Life (Prague, CZ)

A friend of mine asked me if would help her organize talks in a space we would be able to use whenever we wanted to have talks, workshops, or screenings.  I told her I would help come up with some ideas and our first talk was on Wednesday.  The space was a bit confusing to find, but then it was fine.  Eight of us attended and we had some nice chats.  It was great to listen to everyone's story.  I'm looking forward to the next event.  After the event, my friend and I went to the Christmas market at Namesti Miru.  It was very beautiful.  Unfortunately most of the stalls were closed, except one stall selling hot wine, but then that stall closed too within 10 minutes.  Then we walked to Vaclav Namesti and unfortunately nothing was going on, but Muzeum looked nice. It was a nice night.

Cooking Club Prague Anniversary Event (Prague, CZ)

This past Sunday was the second anniversary for Cooking Club Prague.  The organizing committee  had to do a lot to prepare for it.  The founder, Kiky, did so much to make the event a huge success.  We were able to collect around 70kg of food which is equivalent to 300 meals.  I remember as a child we would have food drives at my school every November (because of Thanksgiving at the end of the month), so I came up with the idea for the food drive and it was worked out great!  Everyone brought such delicious dishes.  I was stuffed to the max and wasn't able to try everything.  I only decided the night before what I was going to make.  I heard that the previous year there were too many sweets and not enough savory dishes, so I waited until we had the list of what everyone was going to make. This year was opposite and there were so many more savory dishes than desserts, so I decided to make Brigadeiro, which is a Brazilian sweet.  While living in Chile my best friend was from Brazil and she taught me how to make them.  They were all eaten up which made me very happy because then I got to use the container to fill it up with other food to take home.  Thanks to all the sponsors for the numerous gifts that they provided for the event.  I was able to win a lot of great things.  I was on a dream team, RUBI (Romania, USA, Bangladesh, India), for the taste testing game.  In the final round we got everything correct!!!  Also I think everyone enjoyed the Kahoot game that I made because everyone got to be involved.  We forgot a couple things like a group picture and the anniversary cake, but overall it was a huge success.  Looking forward to the next event.  Thanks everyone!!!
