Leos and I didn't have plans for the public holiday. However, a week before, my friend told me about a place she was looking into visiting. It looked really nice, so Leos and I decided to use her idea. It took about 2.5 hours to drive to Panska Skala from Prague. When we arrived it was so cold!! I was shocked. But then the clouds opened up and the sun came out to give us some blue skies for a bit. It was really a beautiful natural sight. The rocks were impressive and the whole atmosphere was nice. The landmark is 30 million years old!!!! What's crazy is that these rocks exist in other parts of the world as well. For example there are the same types of rocks in Iceland and in Ireland to name a few. We wanted to walk around the area, but there weren't that many nice paths around. When we walked back to the parking lot we saw a sign that said Oybin with some nice rocks on it. I checked Google maps and it was just a 20 minute car ride. We had to drive into Germany, but that wasn't a big deal at all. Oybin was a very picturesque town. The picture we saw at the parking lot didn't do the town justice. It was so much nicer than we were expecting. We enjoyed walking around and taking in the views. The church had a very interesting interior, but I wasn't able to take photos inside. We walked up to the castle, but decided not to go in. Since it wasn't a public holiday in Germany, the stores were open. We went to a supermarket to do a bit of shopping. Then we called it a day and headed back. While on the road, we passed through Poland for a few minutes. Only in Europe is it easy to drive through multiple countries in a matter of minutes. It was such a beautiful day!
