Japanese Cooking Class

I have been a member of Cooking Club Prague since maybe 2018 or 2019 and there hadn't been a single Japanese cooking class offered.  I had been asked many times to do one, but I just didn't come around to it.  Today was finally the day.  I had Leos take care of Amaya so I would be able to do the class.  The class filled up in less than 12 hours after posting it.  I was completely shocked.  I made sure I had a full menu.  I included a wakame cucumber salad, izakaya style edamame, miso soup, hosomaki with four different fillings and matcha cookies.  I hadn't made hosomaki in a while, so I practiced a few times at home. I had never made enough rolls for 11 people, so I was a bit concerned on how long it would take the rice to cool down.  I started cooking the rice immediately because it would need to be completely cooled in order to make the rolls properly. Everyone did a great job and we actually made more than 200 pieces!!  There was a misunderstanding with the cookie dough, but it still ended up turning out ok.  It was fun and a bit hectic for me, but I think everything turned out pretty well.  Since the demand was quite high,  I might have to repeat the class!  Thanks to Grace for helping me out during the class and taking the photos.  The pictures are out of order and thanks to Jerry for having us at his place for the class. I hope that everyone enjoyed the class and will be able to make at least one of the dishes at home. Thanks for a fun day everyone!!!
