BBQ party (Prague, CZ)

My friend had an awesome BBQ party at her apartment on Saturday afternoon. It was a lot of fun. There was so much food! Plus there were so many great people. We watched all 3 football games. Everyone was into the Sweden vs. Germany game. Sweden was up 1-0 and then at the LAST additional minute Germany was able to win 2-1. After the game was over people either left or went on to the next house. I had been at the BBQ from the very beginning so I had to call it a night. Such a great afternoon/evening/night! Thanks Farhana!!

Nordkapp, Norway

My parents had been wanting to go to the Nordkapp for some time. My parents finally decided that this summer they would go. Unfortunately, my father wasn't feeling the best, so he told me that I had to take my mom to the Nordkapp. My mother and I flew from Prague to Tromso. Then we took a bus from Tromso to Alta. Then another bus from Alta to Honningsvag. From there the Nordkapp wasn't too far. We were able to go to the very top of Europe. The Nordkapp was beautiful and we met some really nice people there. It was definitely an adventure I will never forget. One piece of advice if you are taking the bus from Tromso to Alta, download the transportation app and buy your bus ticket on the app. You will save a LOT of money doing it that way. I thought it was very interesting that if you paid with cash on the bus, you would have a *cash fee* and pay more.

Friend's visit to the village (CZ)

It's been 8 years since I have seen a friend of mine and we were lucky to catch each other in the Czech Republic at the same time. A lot has changed since we have seen each other. She brought along her new addition. She came to visit me in the village. We went for a nice walk through the forest to a lake. On the way there we saw a cherry tree, so we picked some cherries. On the way back my friend was determined to get more and asked if I had a ladder. So, we went back to my place, picked up my ladder and picked a LOT more cherries. The cherries were delicious. I made cherry jam and cherry strudel which were awesome!
