My boyfriend and I were walking around Old Town square and I happen to see a poster advertising a vaccine cake, at cafe Cerna Madona. They were sold out when I looked at the display, so I asked a waiter if they had anymore cakes. He told me that they would get more cakes in 10 minutes. We decided to wait those ten minutes and its a good thing we did because more people came to wait for the cakes. I was happy to get my vaccine. It might not do everything a normal vaccine would do, but it didn't hurt and it made me feel better :) It was a delicious cake and had a dropper filled with gin. Here in CZ vaccines are not easy to come by. They are really only vaccinated the elderly and people with health problems. I think my best chance to get the vaccine would be to go back to USA to get one. In Czech Republic they are known for black humor as seen with this vaccine cake (which you can get a form stating you received a vaccine) and they also have a Covid cake. During these difficult times sometimes humor is the best medicine.

DearMoon Project (Going to the Moon)
On March 3rd I happened to be randomly looking at articles my phone had recommended me. I came across an article stating that Yusaku Maezawa, a Japanese Billionaire, was looking for 8 crew members on his mission to the moon. I remember a couple of years ago I heard he was looking for a life partner to join him. I had no idea that he changed the concept of the trip and was inviting artists from all over the world to join him. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I knew straight away that I needed to register. I have been working on my blog for over eight years and have looked through my glasses on all the continents on Earth. I need to be able to look through them in space and experience the view of the Earth rise while wearing the glasses. They have been on over 10,000 different people from all walks of life. I have been able to meet so many amazing people because of them. They give me an opportunity to talk to people about the project and bring people together. One memorable experience was the time I met professional Ozeki Sumo Wrestler Tochinoshin. I recognized him at a salsa club and when he left, I ran after him. I asked him what language he preferred me to speak to him, English or Japanese and he told me Japanese. I explained to him about my blog and asked if he could wear the glasses, he politely refused two times. Then I asked him where he was from, he said Georgia (the country). Luck may it be, I actually lived in Georgia and learned a bit of Georgian. So I spoke to him in a bit of Georgian and IMMEDIATELY he took the glasses from me and put them on for me to take his photo. It showed me that if you have the power to connect with someone in their language you can have an instant connection. His whole demeanor changed and it was like we were friends. Connecting with people is so important and I believe that I have been able to do that everywhere I have lived: USA, South Africa, South Korea, Japan, Georgia, Australia, Chile, and Czech Republic. I have a lot of students that I would love to inspire and show them that anything is possible. Sometimes people assume that my father moved around a lot when I was a child in order for me to live in so many places. Nope. I made the decision as an adult to go out and do it. (But of course it helped that my parents helped me with my Czech citizenship and encouraged me to do what I want as long as I could financially support myself) I wanted to live on all the livable continents, did it. I wanted to visit all the continents, did it. I wanted to visit 100 countries, did it. Now I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go to the moon, LET'S DO THIS!!!

Exploring Praha (Praha 14 & 4)
I came across a post of a walk someone did in Praha 14 and decided that I should try it on Saturday. The person took the train there and metro back. We decided to change up the order of the walk. We took the metro to Rajska Zahrada and walked to the lookout tower. Then we had a nice walk in nature that included a boardwalk area. Next we walked through a nice park that had a random cat castle that had a slide as its tongue. It was around lunch time so we decided to check out the local brewery to see if they had food. We ordered dark beer and really nice food. The place has some great barbeque choices. The meat was really good. We took the train from Dolni Pocernice back to the center of Praha. Then we went to a cukrana that was next to Nase Maso. The sweets we got were really good. On Sunday morning we went to a great lookout point in Praha 4, Branicke Skaly. There were a lot of stairs that we had to go up for the view, but it was worth it. Then for lunch we tried an Italian bistro at Andel. The set menu included soup, main and dessert for 185czk. The food was great. Since we can't really go anywhere we have decided to try new food places and go to areas of Praha we haven't been to yet and so far we have been pleasantly surprised every time!

Sunny Weekend: walking and food (Praha)
The weather was awesome on both Saturday and Sunday. There were clear views and blue skies. I wanted to take as much advantage of the beautiful weather as I could. We walked all over the place and got to try some food from places we haven't tried before. The first place we checked out was a bakery in the Michelin Guide, Eska. We tried their babovka and bought a loaf of bread from them. The babovka was good and the loaf of bread was delicious, but for the price and location of the bakery I do not think we will go back unless we are in the area. For lunch we decided to go to Nase Maso. My boyfriend got the cheeseburger and I got a sandwich with Prague ham. We needed to find a place to eat our food and the benches we wanted to sit at were being used for a movie, so we had to walk more towards Old Town Square. We found a GREAT place to eat our wonderful lunch. Then we walked back towards where they were filming the movie and then made our way to the riverfront of the Vltava. On Sunday we walked to Petrin Park and then to the castle. The castle area was sooooo empty!!! It was quite weird to see so few people on such a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Then we went for an open sandwich. My roast beef open sandwich was quite nice. Then we decided to try a patisserie called Mysak. WOW!!! The venecek was absolutely AMAZING!!! We will for sure go back again. We ate our lovelies at a park located in the center of the city. Again we walked to the riverfront and decided to check out a kebab place near Zlute Lazne that always has such a long line. I couldn't eat one on my own, so I just took a couple of bites and it was really nice. It didn't taste like a typical kebab because it had nice greens and grilled veggies included in it. We had to find a park nearby to eat the kebab. It was a wonderful weekend full of walking (28km) and great food. On Monday morning, I woke up to snow!!! Such strange weather!!!
