Prague Heart of Nations

One thing that I really love about Praha is that when you are walking through the city, you can stumble across random events.  While showing my mom around we came across the Prague Heart of Nations event.  I had no idea this was happening.  There were chairs set up in front of a stage, so we decided to sit and watch the show.  It was nice seeing groups from different countries sing and dance.  After watching a few performances we continued our way to the opera.  We watched Rusalka (which I have already seen before) and it was great.  The version we saw was much better than the one I had seen in the past.   It was a nice weekend.  Then during the week I had a few early mornings and got to sport a nice hairdo.  It was a very busy but awesome week.

Cool Life Festival

For brunch, Leos and I had some great bagels.  Afterwards we went to Naplavka because we saw preparations for a big event. It was a "Cool Life" event organized by the TV station Prima Cool.  Several different "cool sports" had competitions and exhibitions.  It was fun watching the bmx competition on the ramps that were on the river. There were people on the flyboards doing some cool tricks.  There was also a jump that skiiers and snowboarders could go down.  It was pretty cool. Since the weather was nice we stayed the whole afternoon watching all the different sports. I love how I can just come across different events in Praha.

Vienna, Austria

Leos had an American football game in Vienna, so we decided to stay at his parents' house for the weekend.  Vienna isn't that far from his parents' place so it was nice that we could spend his birthday with his family as well.  I decided to go on a free walking tour in the city while he played his game.  The weather on Saturday was absolutely beautiful and perfect to explore the city. The walking tour I went on was nice, but we didn't see as many places in the city as I was expecting we would. It has been quite some time since I visited Vienna, so it was great to have the chance to visit it again.  After Leos was finished with his game he met me in the center for dinner and then we drove back to his parents' house. It was a very nice weekend.
