I went for walk with my friend through Petrin and then the castle. While walking in Petrin I found it strange that they weren't many people. As we approached the castle there wasn't a line, so we decided to go inside. All we had to do was walk through a metal detector and we were in. I was surprised because there was an exhibition of the crown jewels. Once we got to the main cathedral, that is where we saw the line. We saw the line go around the castle and then down some stairs. I thought that would be the end of the line. I was certainly mistaken. We walked through the castle area and then exited. When we exited we saw that other side of the line. I thought it was the end, but then I saw the security area. Every person was being checked with a hand held metal detector. When we walked down the stairs, it was COMPLETELY full. We walked by so many people going down the stairs. There was almost no space for us to go down the stairs. The line just kept going and going. It was 1.1km long. Never in my life have I seen with my eyes and walked past such a LONG line. I told my other friends about it and one of my friend's parents were in that line! They waited over 7 hours!!!!!!! Then they had just 30 seconds to take a picture and go. One of my student's grandmothers went to see the crown jewels a different day and waited over 3 hours. My student showed me the picture her grandmother sent her of the jewels. I am thankful I didn't wait in the line. Afterwards we went to Chloe Cafe, which was really pink. It was very girly and fun to be in. The food and drinks were nice. I will definitely go to the cafe again.
