This month I was the admin for a second cooking class this year. We had an amazing Indian cooking class called Musafir: A Curry Caravan. The instructor, Ritik, is a filmmaker who has worked around India and currently attending film school in Prague. One of the most unique dishes he taught how to make was a pork curry. I had never heard of a pork curry in Indian cuisine. The way he learned how to make it was even more interesting. He helped make a documentary in India about living bridges for a nature series by the David Attenborough!! The dish was delicious and everything we had was so unique. We had so many dishes and the class was all afternoon. The variety of food was unreal. We had 6 different dishes. My favorite was the last savory dish of the day, a chicken curry. The intensity of the garlic was so good!!! The smells in the apartment were fantastic. Everyone was really happy with all the dishes. Ritik wasn't too confident about making a dessert dish, but that ended up being fantastic as well!! It was so great having foods that you would never be able to get at an Indian restaurant here in Prague. The only unfortunate thing is that I was in a hurry in the morning to buy some last minute ingredients the instructor was unable to find and I forgot to bring my kitty glasses. I always bring them everywhere with me, but since I changed backpacks I forgot to move them. Oh well, it was still an amazing afternoon filled with delicious foods!
