Monthly Potluck (Prague, CZ)

My friend organized a potluck group last year while I was in Japan, so I wasn't able to attend any of the dinners until last night. It was a nice group of people and we had quite a feast. There was so much delicious food and everyone ended up stuffed to the max. I'm hoping that I will be able to attend a lot more dinners like this in the future. It was nice meeting you all, hopefully I'll see you next month!!

Las Kermas Mexa (Prague, CZ)

My friend told me about a Mexican festival that was happening today. I love Mexican food, so I definitely wanted to go. We got there a bit too early so we decided to sit on the steps of the church at Namesti Miru to enjoy the sun. I noticed that the church doors were actually opened, so I went to take a peak. There was a mass in service, so I looked just for a second and then went back out. After mass was finished the congregation went outside and passed out tea and baked goods. I didn't expect to get anything, but they approached my friend and I and gave us tea. It was very nice. Then I was given a delicious kolač. It was a nice way to start the day. Then we went into the Mexican Festival and had lots of delicious Mexican food. I had a wonderful ceviche tostada by Paco Fish Tacos. Then I had the most delicious tamale. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday.

CS Hangout (Prague, CZ)

It had been a long time since I went for a night out in Praha. My friend organized a CS hangout at the Czech Inn and we were able to meet some nice people. It was a bit difficult to talk to each other in the beginning because there was live music. However, the music was good and when the bands were finished we were able to chat easily. It was a nice chill night out.

Spring Cleaning with ICP (Prague, CZ)

Spring has finally come to Praha and many of the trees are in bloom. It makes things a little bit easier to see the city happy and alive while I'm going through bit of a difficult time. It's great to enjoy the nice weather again. My friend invited me to a trash clean up event organized by a center she learns Czech from. It was great to see a good number of people eager to help out, but I think from now on I will continue helping with Trash Hero because their events are organized better and they often go to places that really need a lot of cleaning. Nonetheless it was nice meeting everyone on Saturday afternoon.
