Fly Back to CZ

Air France wanted to charge me for the bassinet for Amaya, but I was able to argue the fact that KLM gave us the bassinet for free.  The representative told me that if there were any seats available 30 hours before the flight and I checked in at that time, then I could get the bassinet for free.  However, Leos checked a few days before our flight and I was already given one seat in the bassinet area.  Leos was given the seat behind me.  Luckily, no one ended up sitting next to Leos so we had an extra seat.  Amaya slept a lot more on this flight. She even got a little present from the flight attendant. However, we were unpleasantly surprised when we had a 4 hour layover in Paris and they didn't give us the stroller at the gate.  It was terrible!  After the layover we just had our flight to Prague which wasn't bad.  BUT, when we arrived to Prague, Leos's suitcase didn't arrive!!! Plus it was -13C when we landed.  It was soooooo cold!  When we got back to the apartment it was very cold and the water was shut off.  It was a terrible welcome back.  Early the next morning we had a plumber come and in the afternoon Leos got his suitcase, so at least a few things got fixed pretty quickly.  It took about two days for the apartment to get comfortable though.  And it took two weeks for Amaya to get over the jetlag.  That was probably the worst part, but we had a WONDERFUL time on our holiday.  Amaya really enjoyed the beach and seeing her grandparents.

Last Day! 3 Beaches

Of course the weather was the best on our very last day.  We HAD to take advantage of the weather.  We visited 3 different beaches.  First we went to Doheny but there was too much debris on the sand.  Then we decided to go to Baby Beach because the name was just calling us to go there.  The sand was very nice there, but it was so fine that it was sticking everywhere and Amaya wanted to eat it.  Then we went to Strands to watch the sunset.  We ran into my mom there and took pictures together.  The sunset was beautiful and it was a great way to spend our last day on holiday!

Laguna Beach

The whole time we were on our holiday, I was thinking about when we would go to Laguna Beach.  I wanted to take the free trolley that went from Salt Creek beach in Dana Point to downtown Laguna Beach, but I was worried that we wouldn't be able to take it if we didn't bring a car seat.  We decided it would be best to just drive since we had Amaya.  However, parking in Laguna Beach can be a bit of a nightmare.  I looked online where there would be some free parking spots.  I was actually able to find proper information and found a few spots to park without paying.  We also wanted to make sure that we didn't go during the bank holidays and weekends because it would be just too crowded.  Finally, we went two days before flying out.  I'm so happy that we were able to fit it in our schedule.  Late afternoon, we met up with Lauren again for a walk at Salt Creek.  It was such a beautiful day!
