family gathering

The family that I am staying with invited me to a family gathering. There were 21 people in total and only 5 of them were men. It was so nice to meet everyone and eat delicious food. I was also able to get the oldest person for my blog: 94 years old. I was going to go to my friends house for a movie night, but it got canceled due to scheduled protests young people were going to have. It was nice to be in a safe place with such a wonderful family. last minute bbq

I had just come home from teaching a class and my friend Michelle called me and asked if I wanted to go to a BBQ her friend was having. I love how Chileans have bbq during the week. CS hike

This morning when my alarm went off, I was really debating if I wanted to go on the hike because it was so early in the morning. I am happy that I was able to get out of bed. It was a great hike with lots of great people. At first I was a bit skeptical with the group size, but it all worked out. Thanks to those who participated.
