When we got back to the Czech Republic the weather was completely different to the beautiful California sun. It was quite cold and grey without any snow in the city. Leoš and I wanted to go on a day trip so we decided to check out Castle Cerny Sternberk. It was a great way to get out of the city and actually see some snow. The views were really nice and it was so funny to see that once we crossed the county line back into Praha, the snow disappeared.

Last Day in California
Our tickets back to CZ were postponed by a day because our original tickets would only take us to London, but the flight from London to Prague was cancelled. We needed to change the route and in doing that we needed to fly one day later. The day we left was absolutely beautiful and probably the warmest day of the trip. We wanted to make sure we had one last walk on the beach before going back to snowy and cold Czech Republic. Our new flight had us go through Helsinki and everything went smoothly. Our 3 week trip to California was very nice. We had a wonderful time. Until the next time.......

Capo Beach and Ocean Institute
On our trip we wanted to go to as many different beaches as possible. The last one we added to our list was Capo Beach. Luckily the weather was quite nice. It was actually a bit warm and Leoš finally decided to go into the water. I only put my feet in because I wasn't brave enough to go all the way in. It was nice to finally be able to sit on the beach and get some rays. After relaxing we decided to go to the Ocean Institute. It had been a really really long time since I visited the institute. We got a chance to look at all the different aquariums holding animals that we can find in the area. I was even able to pet a shark. That was pretty cool. There was one volunteer who was really passionate about what he does and gave us a lot of information about the animals in the tanks. We ended the day with our daily walk at Strands beach. The sunset was quite nice and we decided to walk in the direction of Salt Creek Beach. We were able to watch the surfers catch some waves. It was a relaxing day.
