After recovering from the stomach flu I was able to meet with my friend and go to the Christmas market in Old Town Square. It was so crowded!!! The prices were ridiculous and geared toward tourists. I couldn't believe that they were selling small Christmas cookies for 20czk each. The next day I went back to the market at night so I could properly see the Christmas lights. Afterwards Leos and I went for dinner that included some nice grilled meat.
This year we decided to spend Christmas with Leos's family in Trebic. We left Prague Thursday afternoon and when we were arriving into the city I was able to see all the beautiful Christmas lights. I checked the weather forecast and it looked quite warm the next day. I told Leos that I wanted to see the Christmas lights with the snow before it all melted. We went around the city and I took a lot of photos because I wanted to have photos of a "white" Christmas. It has been quite some time since there has been a white Christmas. The next day the snow was still around, so we went for a nice walk in nature. It was great to be in the snow because all the snow in Prague and Ricany had already melted. For Christmas we had carp and potato salad. The night of 24th to morning of 25th was terrible because we caught the stomach flu that Leos's parents had. The day of 25th I was in bed all day with muscle pain because my body was fighting the virus. Night of 25th I sweat through 3 t-shirts. Morning of 26th I threw up and then we went back to Prague. Up until evening of 24th was great. It was nice to have a "white" Christmas even though it wasn't that full of snow.
