The pandemic this year has been crazy. I decided this summer that I would not go home to California for the holidays because of the pandemic. My boyfriend and I spent Christmas in his hometown, Trebič. It was nice to have a truly Czech Christmas this year. We went around the city to enjoy the beautiful lights. For dinner we had carp and potato salad. We also waited for Ježišek to ring the bell for our presents. In addition we cut apples to see our luck for the new year. Plus we enjoyed a lot of Christmas cookies. Since I wasn't able to get anyone new to wear the glasses, I decided to put the glasses on my boyfriend's dog. He was a good sport about having the Santa hat on him and wearing my glasses. I hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas. Happy Holidays!
