Brazilian BBQ/ Petrin Hill (Praha, CZ)

We continued our international food tasting the next day by going to a Brazilian BBQ restaurant.  They specialized in meats, but also had a buffet area with seafood and also gave us some Brazilian street food.  It was very delicious and we left the restaurant VERY FULL!  We had to go for a walk, so we went to Petrin and saw all the beautiful roses.  The next day, I had some last lessons with students before summer break and I received some nice gifts.  I received a bottle of rosé, a personalized bracelet and a jewelry set with earrings, bracelet and necklace.  It was so sweet.  Now summer break!!

Food Festival/ Euro 2020 (Praha, CZ)

Leos and I saw a posting about an International Food Festival in Karlin, so we had to check it out.  We got to try food and drinks from Tunisia, Argentina, Jamaica, Belgium, Indonesia and Czech Republic.  It was really nice because there was live music as well.  It was a great way to spend the afternoon.  Afterwards we went to Riegrovy Sady to watch the Euro2020.  The Czech Republic was playing against the Netherlands and won.  It was great to see them win!

Horse Back Riding (CZ)

For Christmas I bought Leos an experience of bareback horse back riding, but because of covid and our schedules we couldn't enjoy it until the end of June.  It was a nice experience because we got to do everything needed in order to ride a horse.  First we had to prepare the horse by brushing it and then checking its feet.  My horse needed extra shoes because he had sensitive feet.  It took a bit of time to get used to riding the horse without the saddle.  We had to really make sure that our balance was good.  There were a couple of times that Leos almost fell of his horse, but he managed to stay on.  When there was a straight path in the forest, I was able to trot with the horse which was nice.  It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone because the owners were nice and caring towards the horses, we got to do bareback riding which I had never heard about and we got to do all the steps for riding a horse.

American Football Game (Prague, CZ)

This year I was able to spend Father's Day with my dad because my parents happen to be here on the day.  June 20th was also Leoš's first home game.  I asked my father if he would go with me to the football game.  He's not a big fan but he said that he would of course join.  It was soooo hot that day, 34C.  My parents and I met for lunch and then headed to the game.  The opposing team was from Austria.  My parents were only able to watch until half time because it was too hot for them.  Of course I stayed until the end.  Unfortunately the Prague Black Panthers lost.

United Islands (Praha,CZ)

We were walking around and heard a lot of music near the "island" in Praha.  The United Islands festival was happening.  It seemed like things were back to normal, besides the fact that you needed to show a negative covid test.  There were different locations for the festival and lots of food stands.  We had already eaten dinner, but I saw a Georgian stand with fresh kachapuri, so I had to get it.  I was able to say a few Georgian words to the lady and she was really happy.  I think she actually gave me a bigger portion because of it.  I had been wanting kachapuri for a while now and it was so great to have it warm and fresh.  Its nice to see that things are slowly getting back to pre-covid times.
