Masopust is carnival in the Czech Republic celebrated around meat. There were a few Masopust events in Praha, so we decided to check them out. First, we went to the festival in Zizkov. I got a delicious mango/poppy donut. The flavor combination pleasantly surprised me. Leos got a meat blood soup. I tried just a little bit of it. There was a "Vodnik", so I wanted to take a picture with him. Vodnik is a fictional character that is known as a waterman. Then we made our way to the festival in Karlin. There were way more people and more things going on, but Leos and I were happy that we ate at the festival in Zizkov because they had a better selection with the food. Afterwards, we went to a chocolate cafe in the center of Praha. The line to enter the cafe was quite long, but it was worth it. I was finally able to try the salted caramel cake, which was DELCIOUS!! Leos got strawberry cheesecake and a hot chocolate that looked like soup! It was a nice afternoon.
