First Day in Japan after 6 years!! (Osaka, JP)

We left our apartment in the morning to catch the bus to go the the airport.  We knew we had a layover in Helsinki during lunchtime, so I decided to get some food from the airport restaurant in Prague.  They are now using reusable containers, so another 80czk was added to the bill.  We got to Helsinki without any problems and went to our boarding gate. Luckily we got there early because there weren't that many seats for people to sit on.  The layout of the airport was really weird.  Then we flew to Japan!!!  It's been 6 years since I have been to Japan, so I was really itching to go.  I really wanted to show Leos as much of Japan as I could in the 15 days we had planned so we didn't waste any time on the day we arrived.  We landed in Osaka (since the flight was cheaper than landing in Tokyo, plus it "made us" explore areas around Osaka) and went straight to our accommodation.  We checked into the hotel and made our way back out to the main area in Osaka.  It was so nice to be walking around, exploring and eating some great food.  We had to get used to the heat, because it was HOT!!!!  The humidity was really high and just so much hotter than in CZ.  It was a wonderful first day.

Cooking Club: Colombian Food

The last time Cooking Club had an event was 4 years ago.  Covid really messed up events and the dynamics were a bit weird.  I recently met up with the person who created Cooking Club and we discussed how we should have an event again.  The easiest event to set up was a restaurant event, so we put a poll in the club about which cuisine people would want to sample and Colombian food came out as first.  Luckily, I have been to the Colombian restaurant several times, so I knew which foods to order.  There were 11 of in total and we all had a great time chatting away and eating great food.  I didn't manage to take pictures of all the foods we ate, but we all enjoyed the dishes.  It was a great event and I am looking forward to having more events in the future.

Sunday BBQ

Laura invited me to go to a bbq her boyfriend found online.  I was planning on having a bbq on the weekend, so it was great to go to attend one and not have to plan it.  There were so many people.  We had a lot of good food. In order for us to kind of get to know each other, the whole group broke up into smaller groups to do an ice breaker.  After the ice breaker I took some photos, but then I had to go.  Unfortunately, I couldn't take as many photos as I was planning to because I had to leave.  It was a fun event and I plan to join more in the future!
