On our first full day in Japan, we decided to go to Kyoto. One day is not enough for Kyoto, but that's all the time we had for the ancient city. Looking back, I realize there are some places we didn't get the chance to go to, but we still manage to see and do a lot. We took the train from Osaka to Kyoto and that didn't take long at all. Once in Kyoto, we went to the tourist information center to get a general idea of what we should do. We decided to get the transportation day pass of the area, so we could try to see as much as possible. We went to so many temples and I was shocked that we had to pay for so many of them. In the end, we had to pick and choose which ones to go to because of the entry fees were starting to add up a bit. I can't believe all the places we managed to go to, but we did it. It was such a hot day, but thankfully I had a very good fan with me that I got the night before and lots of cold drinks. When we got back to Osaka we went to the night food market and got some good eats. It was such a full first day (pictures are a bit out of order at the end).
took the train google maps suggested and got hit with an extra payment that was more than the ticket
