Medieval Festival (Točnik Castle)

After the beautiful lavender fields, we went to Točnik castle.  By chance they were having a medieval festival.  We arrived just when they were preparing the "king" to ride his horse into the castle.  The festival enhanced our experience while walking around the ruins of the castle.  The atmosphere was really nice and there were a lot of people dressed in appropriate medieval clothing.  The castle felt very much alive because of the festivities and I am grateful that we got to experience it.  It was a very nice day with first the lavender fields and then the medieval festival at the castle.
