Milan Day 2

The day started off bright and sunny.  We walked to the Duomo again because its the center of everything. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe because Leoš likes to collect their t-shirts. Then we went for lunch and the sandwiches we had were delicious!! The quality of the ingredients were so good! Then we came across an old looking building that said Starbucks on it.  Since we went to a beautiful Starbucks in Paris, I thought it would have the same kind of interior, so we went in.  Wow, was it different.  It was so impressive to see the tall ceilings and huge roasters in the center of everything.  The sizes were mind blowing.  I didn't expect to see what I saw.  There were huge containers with green coffee beans that were somehow moved to the roasting machine and those beans were then moved through copper tubes to the baristas.  The line for drinks was really long and the drinks were a bit expensive, so I decided to buy a beautiful tumbler instead.  I did some research afterwards and found out that there are only 7 Starbucks Reserve Roasteries in 6 cities around the world.  Four are in USA, 1 in China, 1 in Japan and 1 in Italy (the one we went to).  I'm not even a coffee fan, but it was really impressive to see and quite an experience.  After our visit to Starbucks, we walked to a huge park.  It was really nice.  We made our way back to the center and it started to rain.  We went to mall for a short bit, but then we had to get to our accommodation.  Luckily, I brought a backpack cover and an umbrella, so we were fine to walk.  It was a great full day of exploration.
