Free Walking Tour Amsterdam, Netherlands

The last time I was in Amsterdam was in 2012. I was there for 10 days and had a wonderful time. On my way back to the Czech Republic I had an 8 hour layover in Amsterdam. I was really looking forward to just wandering around the city. When I arrived, I put my carry on luggage in storage for just 6 euros. Then I got a return ticket from the airport to Amsterdam Central station for 9.60 euros. It was a bit of a gloomy day and it felt quite cold because I was used to the warm weather in California. I walked around and got to the main square. Then I saw people holding umbrellas for tours. The last time I was in Amsterdam I didn't go on a walking tour and I was a bit too tired to just wander around by myself because I didn't sleep on the flight from Los Angeles. I joined the free walking tour and it was nice. There were a lot of people and I wasn't sure if I had the energy to take people's photos but after walking around I woke up a bit and was able to take a few photos. The tour actually lasted a bit more than 3 hours and I needed to leave before it was over to catch my flight. It was the perfect way to spend my long layover. I definitely would like to visit again for longer than a couple hours!

Wine Tasting Temecula, California USA

A friend of mine whom I have known since elementary school, but only just caught up with 2 years ago was also visiting home for the holidays, so we decided to catch up. Since his days were limited I joined him and his parents to wine tasting in Temecula. It was a spur of the moment plan and it turned out to be a fun expected day! I do not know much about wine like they do, but I was able to enjoy some great tasting wine and food. It was cool to learn about wine with the seasoned veterans. My friend actually has had made wine for the last couple years now. Thanks for letting me join you guys!

Fishing Southern California, USA

Every time I go home my father wants to take me fishing with him. He goes quite often in his free time. I always like going because there is always the potential to see a whale. No one had seen a whale so far this season, but I had a feeling that we would see a whale. I was very lucky that the water was quite calm because sometimes I can get seasick. It was a fun day of fishing. I caught 15 fish, but only one fish was a keeper. There was another fish I felt I had on the line which was quite heavy, but a sea lion got it before I could reel it in!! The one fish I kept was not that big, however, it won me the jackpot on the boat!! I had never won before, so that was pretty cool. Plus we saw a California Grey Whale!!! Later in the evening my parents and I went to see the Christmas lights at the harbor. They were quite nice!
