One really great thing the lady from Cyprus told us on our first day was about a free gastronomical tour happening every Saturday. I called the company and reserved places for us. We had to meet at 9:30am at the harbor. There were around 30 of us on the tour. Our first stop was at a vineyard. For me it was too hot and too early in the morning to do wine tasting. However, Leos was keen on trying the different wines. Then we went to a museum showing the life of the father of Cyprus. After the museum, we saw his house and how he lived with his family in a small house. We went to a monastery, a sweets factory, an art studio and finally a restaurant. Leos and I wanted to try mezze (a type of meal with several small dishes to try) so we ordered it and got to enjoy lots of different foods. At the end of the tour we were dropped off at the harbor again. We walked around the harbor and relaxed for the rest of the day.
