I had seen online that Ksamil had been referred as the Maldives of Europe. The most beautiful beaches in Albania were in Ksamil according to the website. There were some nice beaches, but every beach required people to pay for deck chairs. We took a bus from Sarande to Ksamil and the bus was completely packed!! Once we got out of the bus, we had to figure out our way around the town. I bought a pearl necklace from a nice vendor who gave us some advice about the town. We managed to find the public beach and laid there for a bit. We stayed until we got hungry. We went for lunch and then went to an archeological site by bus. We were a bit surprised with the price of the entrance ticket, but decided that we needed to just pay and visit the site. It was much bigger than I expected and I am so glad that we had enough water. It was such a hot day, but it was a great walk around the area. Luckily the buses started from the archeological site. When we got to the beach area, the bus got completely packed to the max. One man had to get off the bus very quick because he threw up, it was gross. Leoš and I were comfortable because we were sitting. It was a crazy bus drive back to Sarande. We went for dinner and decided to get seafood because we were at the beach and needed to take advantage of the seafood we could get. Dinner was good and the service was fantastic. It was a great day!
