Headlands

There were some storms that passed through the area.  There was a lot of rain and the waves were quite big.  We went to check out Capistrano Beach and the parking lot was filled with water.  We decided that we needed to go to another area, so we went to a view point.  Then we walked to some newly made stairs in the city. The detail in each step was crazy.  Then we made our way to the area near the Ocean Institute.  So many people were watching the waves.  Next we went to the Headlands, which is a protective area in the city, and I was able to borrow binoculars and a guide for whales in the area.  I was lucky enough to see a whale blow in the distance.  It was pretty cool. In the evening we went to the beach again to watch the sunset and saw quite a few lobster traps washed up on the shore due to the storms.
