After a long night of partying after the wedding ceremony, it was a bit difficult to wake up, but it was our last day in Spain. I wanted to explore Madrid some more. We took a train into Madrid and walked all over the place. I wanted the signature fried calamari sandwich, so we went to one of the best places in the city to get one. Its a bizarre combination, but it works. Its not something you could eat everyday, but if I'm in Madrid again, I would get it. The palace and the church were really beautiful. The park we went to was quite nice as well. We did a bit more of exploring and had some empanadas. Since we had to wake up at 3:30am for our flight the next day, we had to call it a day and get back to the hotel. It was a nice quick trip to Spain and I am happy that we made the trip for the wedding. It was a great weekend!!
