The ice hockey world championship was happening in Prague this year. Leoš tried to buy tickets to see Czech play in the early rounds, but all the tickets were sold out. It was very difficult to purchase a ticket. He then decided to buy a ticket from someone for the quarterfinals. It was not guaranteed that Czech would make it to the quarterfinals, but we had to hope. Leoš picked up the ticket from the guy and everything seemed legit. However, in the back of mind I wasn't completely confident that the ticket was real. Luckily, the ticket was real and we got to enter the stadium. There were so many other people who also bought tickets from other people because when they went through the turnstile, indicating the ticket was real they would cheer. Its how we felt as well. The stadium was great. The organization even made a fan zone close to the arena, so people who couldn't buy tickets to the game could have a great time. There were lots of booths giving away free stuff and photo booths. The fan zone had a great feel to it. We went to the fan zone for the first game that was Slovakia against Canada. After that game was over, it was time to go into the stadium. Even though our tickets weren't the closest, we still had a great view of the ice. The highest seats even had a decent view of the ice. The layout of the stadium was great. The atmosphere inside the stadium was electric. It was a big game. It was a close game, but luckily we got a goal and managed to win the game CZ 1 USA 0. The roof seemed like it was gonna blow off because everyone was going crazy. It was such a cool experience and I am really happy I got to experience it! Let's keep it going CZ!!!! (Photos are a combo of mine and Leoš's so not in order.)
